Some time back this stock moved to 70/-. When KGAL-250, KOTA-200 & HOPL also @ 70.

So for some reason this stock react very slowly to positive economic & market conditions.

So what i feel is if you have this stock with you. You need to have some patients. But don't expect big returns from this. As this stock has a tendency quicker depreciation rather than appreciation though the numbers are good.

Good luck

In the current market uptrend, any stock can go up suddenly. BALA has its own personality. In the plantations sector there are different types of personalities. There are fast movers, slow movers and slow and steady movers.

Only thing we should study is industrial outlook in the coming years. In any sector there can be volatility in earnings due to short term events. Even banking and finance and property sector are not risk free. Despite good earnings or bad earnings there is a fair value for any stock. As we had a sluggish market many stocks went down to the crazy levels including plantation stocks. Now one by one they are adjusting to the market uptrend gradually. I believe this stock too should adjust according to the market in the future. In this market when we sell stocks they can go up buy 100%. Similarly when we buy stocks they can stagnate in the short run. In a major uptrend, stocks in favorable industries could appreciate rapidly. Will this sector become favourable in 2015 onwards? We have do some study now. In addition every stock has type of pattern in their upward movement.
