This seems counter-intuitive.
Is it just the CSE behaving irrationally as per usual or?
Any thoughts guys?

That is the usual pattern. If price rises dramatically before earnings are released expect a bad result. Of course JKH result isn't really bad, but I don't think it's what retailers expected. But expect it to get worse when they have no more family jewels to sell to bolster the bottom line through extra ordinary items.

hey Tubal,
I was just flipping through your historical posts, you seem to have an interesting take on market. Just out of curiosity if your were to invest in a large cap company over the next month- purely on a basis of higher expected operating results. (irrespective of cse investor trends) i.e "value investing".
Which company would it be?
(seems like, you aren't a fan of how jkh portrays it's earning- so let's exclude jkh)!
