I noticed there are various rather unbalanced views expressed re TKYO. I thought I will spell out what I see in the financials

a. overall, the group earnings have decreased 4% for the last six months (YTD) despite a 7% increase in gross profits with a 146% increase in provision for Income Tax!
b. At company level though, there is a drop of 30% in earnings for the last six months (YTD).

So, if some one says every thing is great about TKYO, have a second look...

analysts looks at YoY quarterly growth in a company. this has INCREASED

June quarter, earnings were down by 10% but this quarter its UP by 4%. Obviously 6 months may be down since June quarter was down. But everyone looks at YoY earnings growth - am I not right?

Who cares about company level? That makes no sense! Its the group earnings that count.

Am I not right to say that EPS has increased for the quarter? Has it not increased so that EPS (annualized) has moved up? Is the PE not below 10? does that not mean that it is a good buy? Market PE is almost double that.

Have I lied anywhere? Quarterly reports can be misleading. But I think I looked at it correctly.

BASIC EARNINGS PER SHARE for three months ended 30th Sept 2013 = 1.85
BASIC EARNINGS PER SHARE for three months ended 30th Sept 2014 = 1.93

Am I wrong? NO I AM RIGHT

It has improved YoY. And if you annualize 1.93, its 7.72. Now this is a share which trades at 71, with an EPS of 7.72. This is a BUY.

There was a rapid decrease in TKYO X prices. Looked like some people were trying to bring it down and set way to panic sellers. Has a feeling share will pick up again and move up more than what it started at.

You are correct

This happened during the last quarter too. As soon as earnings were out, it went down a bit and then shot up by 30-40%

This will happen again!
