According to DOW theory I cannot see it'll dip again below 7-6.8. Now only expectation is the run...

The Met. Department says that under the disturbed atmospheric conditions over vicinity of Sri Lanka showers can be expected. Showers or thundershowers will occur over most parts of the island particularly during the afternoon and night.

Very heavy falls (more than 150mm) are also likely at some places.

The Met. Department advises the general public to take adequate precautions to minimize the damages caused by lightning activities, as there may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers.

Meanwhile, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) says that with the prevailing bad weather condition is expected to continue within next 24-hours, landslide warnings have been issued for Kurunegala and Kalutara districts.

Senior Scientist at the Landslide Research and Risk Management Division, Dr. H.A.G. Jayatissa, said that the people living in these areas need to give special attention on all mountain areas, man-made cut slopes, and roads within the district.
