In terms of the SEC directive dated 14th September 2010, the 10% price band has been imposed on CLND.N.0000 & WAPO N.0000 with effect from 24th May 2011 to 30th May 2011 (both days inclusive).
The 10% price band imposed on BOGA.N.0000 has been removed with effect from 24th May 2011.

Think these were con the cards today. Alteast the bands will protect retailer in the event of a price drop. These bands work both way now.

Well i dont think price band is effective in protecting in a price fall. I remember when PCH shoot up for 3 days the price band was put on. And since that day prices started going down -9.99%. Finally there were no buyers at one point for few days when many sellers were waiting to exit. So price band is there is do the killing softly. lol.

In the other hand we do need the price band in CSE considering the manipulation happening everyday. After all non of us dont want CSE to be another Bangladeshi stock market.

Well think this way. If there is no sale even at - 10% then it will not down futher as the previous closing price will prevail.

The trick is to get ahead of the line ( first) to sell at -10% if you are unsure. How is the hard part.

But I understand what you were trying to say as not everybody will be protected.

I also remember When Priceband PCH has many buyers at 10% up price for the day but no sellers. So There is a possibility for bothway. Anyway most of the time becuase of panic sellers it will go down. At this time maturared Players collect and sell when it will go up. This is I observed in most of priceband stocks.
