All the listed companies at CSE will definitely benefit due to oil / gas price reductions except LIOc and LGL.

The biggest beneficiaries would be the hotel sectors as their gas bill would drop significantly. JKH would benefit a lot out of this. The overheads of companies would drop and the profits would increase.

Don't buy LIOC and LGL now. Wait till LIOC comes below 52/= and enter, re-enter or average. There may be another reduction just before the election.

Why does the government always pass the burden of oil price reduction to the oil companies? Instead they should reduce the duties. The government is already taxing over 60/= from a litre of petrol. The government is the highest earner out of oil more than the oil companies and most of this goes as corruption.

The Good news is only for 1 month. If MR wins oil prices will go up again. CPC has said that that they were not planning to reduce oil prices because they wanted to use the savings to cover up the losses. However CPC cannot make any saving from reducing prices in the market as the minister in charge has signed an agreement to buy oil at the prices existed before the oil crash. Opposition should ask the minister to declare the price at which he agreed to buy oil from Singapore.
