Investing in the Sri lankan Stock Exchange for short to medium term, solely on the basis of Technical Analysis and Charting . Is it a good strategy?. If not, why?

Technical Analysis or Charting is the best strategy to beat CSE...I mean you can use TA to decide when to buy shares after doing financial analysis. But wait till the end of credit clearance cases. If not you can't get maximum out of your homework.

Interestingly there are very short term rallies in the market. I never seen these patterns frequently in CSE. Now almost everyday few shares are moving more than 50% of previous day close price.

Do your home work & decide. Information is the best commodity in CSE.

I see your point. unfortunately, non of the CSE shares has shown a known pattern in the short or medium term. Spent quite sometime, but they all look very funny.

Exactly... I'm waiting till these bulls run before doing TA further.
But I'm learning it these days. Sometimes we can apply the knowledge n understand what is happening too

what is the charting software used and from where can we get this software and most importantly the data for this. are there any live charting softwares available
