Give me something better than that Quibit.
I mean something like 9.5 % or 10 would be more like it.

Soon the rates will sky rocket.
Finance companies who merged have also got into Long term commitments and are offering higher rates. Money market will be a bit tight and have impact on the free flow.

Currently the money market is excess more than Rs.50Bn. Secondary market bond rates are falling. All the dealers are filled with money. If any one wants money can borrow @ 5.25 overnight. This is the lowest for fairly long time.

Currently money market is very strong.

But we have to wait & see to see what will happen in the next week and beyond.

To have a proper direction, the provisional budget is very important. What is crucial here is what are the sources of income & methodologies to provide the said price reductions. I personally don't like to see a petrol price reduction up to 100/-per liter. A price reduction of 20/- to 25/- per liter will be fine. Then the government is in a position to utilise the benefits coming from the reduction in prices in the world market to utilised for the additional tax reductions proposed.

Please note now the fuel prices has reduced by more than 50% in the word market. So technically petrol prices can be reduced to 81/- per liter keeping the taxes almost same as it is or maybe 80% to 90% of it.

Therefor we have to wait and see how the government is going to manage the above scenario on 29/01/2015. Very Happy

I feel it is too early to loose faith or even have faith for that matter.

It is still at the infant stage.

I do not see any major bad personally. I think good times are ahead with sustainable growth.

Remember slow and steady will win the race. In a way this correction is good for the market.

Now she is a matured person.
After her marriage she has learned that agreeing with everybody and anybody serves no good. Her opinions are strong and statements cutting.

So that's what everyone is gonna be cognisant about. Basketball

Interest rate prediction going right. We should have 10% Deposit Rate and 15% Borrowing Rate with 5% Spread for Bank. Stock Market is likely to get adjusted to high interest rate distraction.

Honestly, I opened up this post to see a discussion with regard to interest rates and their future movements.

I didn't think I'd see an advertisement for a bank.

Where do we draw the line? Is everyone allowed to advertise here now?

Advertising is not required in this Forum so same applies to SDB as well . On the interest rate side currently the country is in a rounded bottom of the interest rate cycle. With the reduction of essential items and the availability of ample money supply the rate will remain at these levels at least till the end of next election. But I am not completely deny the possibility of turning back the curve in medium term.

I told this in January but Llot of members criticised me when I said interest rates will go up. See now what is happening now and what Reuters are saying.

Previous senior members tried to shoot the messenger, some members even when to the extent of setting up various mushroom forums to promote their ideas and stocks.
We stood firm and silent. Trust always wins! Expertise and experience is not gained overnight.

We thank all members together with the moderators who are assisting us to manage this forum.

My Belief is:
Depot Rates will go up to 10%p.a and Lending rates will go upto 15% p.a. Lot of investors would be happy to invest and earn 10%p.a instead of risking in their money. Therefore market will decline. So we have to be careful when picking shares in the current uncertain environment. High risk takers can take a chance. But I wouldn't

However companies like CFVF would be benefited as they have already raised funding through debentures at lower rate. Isn't it?
