As per the latest report, 31 March 2011, - No.

(.38) per share last qtr & 50 cents loss per share last year.

Their short term investment are 17 million against 170 million other assets. I think they have 30 million in TBills also.
From that you cannot get a huge capital gain to overcome the effect of loss making projects.

be careful, rumors of capital gains would most probably be spread by those "investors" who bought KDL at 22 levels following the run on Shafter shares.
as @chinwi has pointed out there's nothing in the financials to show how they can come up with magical capital gains.
