Most of the budget proposal are like to be not become true, this is merely target for general election, new government most probably UNP revert back to lot of those proposal.
We had many experience about political promises ( but this time it came as budget proposal) what has gone away as day dream.
Nothing to worry about current situation, thing will change after General Election until such time do wise trading in fundamentally sound counters such as UBC, VPel, Lfin, Vfin etc..

Your opinion also has some sense.

I expected to see the Chamber of Commerce going against RAVI and RANIL at their meeting.

No fireworks was seen. That is very unusual for an independent body that speaks in behalf of the business. So I suspect that there was an understanding that all these taxes etc etc that do not directly involve Casinos and targeted busineses will be given better treatment and reduced taxes if not postponed indefinitely.

Budget proposal against UNP
Neo-liberal economic policies are mainly for the election

unexpected Hybrid car tax will be a another problem
Professionals who work hard for My3 Palanaya and open LCs

are suffering because of this tax
