You are wrong mate actually it's at loss.gross profit is (-52) million.It seems at profit because change in fair value of biological assets is increase of 160 million.see the income statement.

We need to study plantation cycles and growth opportunities in individual companies to identify future winners and to minimize losses. At different times different plantation companies are outperforming others in the sector. However in the mid and long term quality plantations companies could have growth due to demand for quality tea. We should not forget many plantations companies have timber plantations as well. They could have other income sources as well in the future. In addition plantations companies which have bigger share for their quality tea in markets such as China, Europe and North America will have more growth than others. Short term oriented approach to plantation sector is not suitable due to short term issues in the plantation sector. UDPL should benefit in the mid and long term. Finally this out of favour sector can outperform market at any time due to value and mid and long term potential in the sector and sudden rise in quality tea prices globally. UDPL has some high quality tea in the world. Quality tea will fetch higher prices in the coming years and decade due to demand from health concern consumers globally.GL

I feel afraid when i read the fair value of biological assets. Its because of Touch wood. Touch wood directors used this term well and manipulated stock with billions earnings. How ever most of the plantaion companies are trading on below their net book values even few with attractive PE ratios.
