guys lets hv a healthy discussion abt hotels..coz still nobdy pointed out thiz in da forum so far...
BFI(Banking,Finance,Insurance) & Hotel sector wil b da most shinin sectors in da long term...
As we hv some discussions goin on with BFI sector shall we discuss abt hotels...
Coz i think with da world cup season cmn soon thr will b massive amount of tourist arrivals...
So both hotel n beverage sectors wil benefit massively....

I think stil we didn`t see a hotel rally..was a small one very recently for a very short time....
Most of hotel share prices hv gone down n it`z da ideal time for collection...

My picks wud b TAJ , CONN , GHLL ,RENU .....
Appreciate ur inputs...

Taj may be benefited with the World Cup. ( Official Hotel for Cricketers - this was mentioned once in investnow.lk ) But would the earnings be significant to reflect in the P & L . I am not sure.

TAJ was tradin @ 88 abt 6 months back n came down to 65...bt again it picked n toched 80 abt two times...i observed lot of collections goin around 72 level.......
i think in short term alzo thiz cn give a reasonable profit...letz say if u buy around 70.letz say at da least if it touches 80...12.5% gain... Neutral

hotels are over valued for me.
they are running prices with way ahead of their reports..

i think it is CHOT is the managing group of galle face hotel and there is chain of hotels other than galleface hotel that belong to them
