Is there any particular P/E Ratio range to name as a good stock

shouldn't be there any stock with low P/E ration but perform well ?

Yep. There may be companies which are performing well and trading at low PE Compaired to its revial companies.  However when people think and realise that such stocks are performing well normally due to high demand price will go up. Thats why best performing companies having hige PE compaire to other less performing companies. Note that there are some sotck having hige PE not because of performance but due to other market factors.
