I think the market drop is due to margin clearing, I had exceeded my margin by 75,000 and was ask to sell some shares. Anyone else faced the same situation?

ASI down by 140 points.....CSE is not an over valued market like other global markets.... recovery soon hopefully....

Naturally they will have some kind of correction. They were having one of the longest bull markets. After this selloff still their marketS can go up due to low interest rate environment and other factors. At least there will be demand for defensive stocks. Current CSE bull market only started in 2014. It has more legs.

Global stocks should rebound sooner than later. I believe frontier markets including Sri-Lanka have more opportunities than emerging markets. Their currencies also more stable than some commodity rich countries including emerging markets.

Chinese market has one of the strongest bull markets and they are having strong correction and volatility now. However in the long run Chinese market will go up again.

In other words market cycles will be there in China as well. Intelligent funds and investors moved their money from other sectors to consumer staples (food related stocks) in China before their major sell off.

It is time to go behind undervalued markets and companies having great potential. Sri-Lankan market is one of the markets which have more value.
