Big parcels of PAP were traded above Rs8

10:50 1,000,000 8.00
11:01 19,937,600 8.00
11:01 5,000,000 8.00
11:02 6,000,000 8.00
11:02 3,000,000 8.00
11:02 1,000,000 8.00
11:04 7,000,000 8.00
11:19 3,000,000 8.10
11:19 1,000,000 8.20
11:21 3,000,000 8.20
11:49 1,000,000 8.20
11:50 2,531,800 8.20
11:50 17,000,000 8.20

Looking at this, big players were buying at higher level. But at the end, the price came down. Can this be a another trick to push the price down??

Surely these were not sold to poor retailers like DP sold REEF.

Price were went down suddenly due to been panic retailers sold small to medium quantities in the matter of minutes after the news major stake sold from major Malaysian share holder. During that period some big guy was collecting at lower levels.

Sri Lanka Panasian Power controlling shareholder reduces stake
June 09, 2011 (LBO) - The Malaysian controlling shareholder of Sri Lankan mini hydro firm Panasian Power reduced its control with the sale of a large stake in trades which boosted market turnover on the Colombo bourse Thursday.

Power Hub International Sdn Bhd sold 68, 325,100 shares of Panasian Power in three lots at eight rupees, 8.20 and 8.30 rupees a share, a stock exchange filing said.
It was not immediately clear who the buyer was.

The sale by Power Hub reduced the stake held by the Malaysian firm in Panasian Power to 28 percent from 42 percent.

Another director of Panasian Power Deepal Sooriyaarachchi sold 500,000 shares at eight rupees each.

Panasian Power closed at 7.50 rupees, down 20 cents after hitting a high of 8.30 rupees during the day.

Yeah if you check the final figure it was more than 1.6Bn Valued shared were transfered. I dnt think retailers have this much of funds to buy them.... further many retailers exiting from mkt since thr many IPO's & Intro's.... Thr shd be a reason y big player plays the game here Very Happy

Further big player exit. Now i think new directors will named sooner and thr would be something would happen. most of us know wt happen to CLND but this happening something different. since PAP is hydro company to acquire new power points this may go for Right issue with W. ........... NO Idea ..... But i feel this is repeat REEF .....

Any way Keep on EYE Very Happy

Over 40% stake of Panasian Power traded yesterday with the Malaysian party shedding some holding.
Around 211.8 million shares of the company traded as it peaked to a high of Rs. 8.30 before closing 20 cents down to Rs. 7.50.
Power Hub International Sdn Bhd had sold 68.3 million shares or a 13.6% stake between Rs. 8 and Rs. 8.30 per share. As at 31 March 2011 it held a 42% stake.
It couldn’t be confirmed whether the Malaysian promoter had gone below 30% stake after yesterday’s shedding or whether it had a higher stake as opposed to the FY2011 closing. If the latter is correct, the Malaysian party could be still holding around 30%, if not it must now be 28.4%.
Given the high volume traded overall, analysts said that Panasian Power came under heavy recycling of trades.
On the buying side was Dilith Jayaweera whose company Emagewise picked up a considerable stake early in the week with regular market players such as Nimal Perera and Arjun Aloysius of Perpetual Capital fame figuring in the play on Panasian Power. There had been several other new investors joining the play yesterday.
On Monday 368 million shares or a 74% stake of the company traded for Rs. 2.5 billion. On Wednesday only 98 million shares traded whilst on Tuesday 85 million shares changed hands.

Exactly...that is what that came in to my mind as well. A crash is imminent unless the regulators act soon to control these kids playing in the CSE.

I am also could figure out what is happening, but as you said something going on, if any members aware about the disclosure requirements can highlight, what are situations needed disclosure, because still except the some sales by the major shareholder disposal about PAP, nothing else published to cse to date, also today PMB disposal published and nothing about the buyer? - I am not sure about the disclosure requirements, so is anybody highlight whether the buyer also need to disclose to the trading floor
