The applicable import tax (Custom Duty) on Petrol & Diesel has been increased by new Budget considerably. PAL Inceased from 5% to 7.5% for both Petrol & Deisel Imports based on Invoice value & implication for a Ltr of Petrol & Diesel will be arouund Rs. 2.00. Applicable CID for Diesel has been increased from Rs.9.00 per Ltr to Rs.15.00 per Ltr. Impact Per Ltr is LKR 6.00. All details are available for view on SL Custom web.

Total Impact will leade to huge Financial Implications to LIOC leading to Loss of at lest two Bilioans of LKR per Year.
