MPRH Net Asset Value per share 48.00 , last 6 month EPS 2.50

They should pay atleast 48.00 per share.

De-listing of Kuruwita Tex and Beruwala Walk Inn receive SEC nod

Ceylon FT: Following the approval of majority shareholders to de-list Kuruwita Textile and Beruwala Walk Inn, the Security and Exchange Commission after considering the reasons cited, has approved the de-listing of the two companies from the Colombo Stock Exchange.

The companies in two separate stock market disclosures yesterday said that the SEC had approved the de-listing of Kuruwita Textile and Beruwala Walk Inn, taking into consideration the reasons cited by the two companies, at the 336th meeting of the regulator held 13 May.

The SEC requested the companies to ensure the smooth facilitation of the sale at the notified pricing details.

Seven companies including, Beruwala Walk Inn, Kuruwita Textiles, Asiri Central Hospital and four companies in the Carson Cumberbatch Group announce de-listing from the Colombo Stock Exchange, following directives by the SEC on minimum public float. At an Extraordinary General Meeting, 97% of shareholders in Kuruwita Textiles, of which Brandix Textiles Holdings is the major shareholder, approved to de-list from the Colombo Stock Exchange and accepted the offer price of Rs 30 per share.

Early this year the directors of the company announced that the company failed to return to profitability over the past four years, and the company considering its failure to turn around, decided to de-list.

Beruwala Walk Inn, of which Banyan Tree Holdings Limited is the major shareholder too sought to de-list from the Colombo Stock Exchange, citing that the company failed to make profits after its only property was destroyed by the 2004 Tsunami. Shareholders are offered Rs 120 per share.

With seven companies already announcing de-listing from the Colombo Stock Exchange, de-listing of major corporates could affect the Sri Lankan stock market a market advisor opined; however according to her blue chips would not seek to de-list since the SEC had offered flexible options considering the requests on a case by case basis.

They are the people who valued their assets in that manner. This is not trading. This is buying back assets.
Fake or not they should offer at least asset value to buy assets. Isn't It ?
