John Keells Holdings (JKH), Sri Lanka's biggest hotel operator with properties also in the Maldives, says construction of its 200-room Chaaya Bey resort at Beruwala in southern Sri Lanka will be ready for opening by May 2012.

In its annual report for the year ending March 31, 2011 released recently, the company said during the completed year it sold the Cinnamon Island, Alidhoo in the Maldives and acquired (on lease) the Chaaya Island, Dhonveli also in the Maldives.
