HVA is now very closer to IPO price (Now 16, IPO price 15), However it's year ended EPS down to 0.69 from 0.82. So, Current PE is 16/0.69 = 23.18, Therefore even if it touches to the IPO price, It's not much attractive as I feel. What is you view on HVA ?

This may trade at or below IPO price but it doesn't mean the share becomes attractive. Considering current earnings, this is still an overvalued counter for me.

However, there may be short term fluctuations.

HVA even traded below its IPO price of Rs 16 for first time on 14th June 2011, trading during day at Rs 15.50 even.

Its 31st March 2011 shareholder list shows that biggest owner outside of controlling 70% shareholder, is JB Coco Shell with just 1.14 million shares (1.72%) and public float is still 30%.

On HVA 1st day of trading in February 2011, almost the entire quantity of 19.9 million IPO shares traded. But as at 31st March, no sign of strategic buyers. During the past month, HVA has never even traded more than 0.5 million shares per day.

HVA 4Q results were poor, with profit falling 37% yoy to Rs 8 million (fully diluted EPS of 13 cents). Worryingly, Gross Profit was down yoy, and the results were not dragged by IPO expenses, as they were not charged to P&L. FY11 profit also ended down 15% at Rs46 million.

Two broker reports on HVA in January 2011, by Acuity and Bartleet, predicted HVA FY11 profits at Rs 79 m and Rs 71 m respectively - once again confirming the poor quality of broker research.

If broker analysts can't predict results 3 months out, what good are their 'long term' forecasts?

Read interim financials, annual reports, broker reports, comments on this forum etc - but do your own research too.
