I heard FLCH gradually remove their Rubber plantation and planting Cinnamon. Any one know whether it is true? If it is true then Future of FLCH is good...

If it is true it may need another 1-2 years to get profit...

My average price of FLCH is 2.10 . I am planning to keep this share for about 2-3 years. At present I don't have extra money to average. If they are planning to change their business to a profitable then it is a good news. Very Happy

Cinnamon is planted using seedlings.
Actually it takes 3 to 3-1/2 years to get the first real harvest from Cinnamon. You can cut two times per year. First few harvests will give moderate yield. When Cinnamon plant get established well with distributed root system into soil producing many growth leads it it will give good 'cuttable' trees.

The quality and the quantity of the product depends on the area and climatic conditions.
World's Best Kurundu with good aroma and color is produced in Ambalangoda - Galle area where Boron is at high content in soil.
All parts of Cinnamon tree is money.
They get oil from leaves also. Highest price is for natural products grown without using chemical & fertilizers.
The buyers can say whether you have put chemical & fertilizer to plant or not by looking at the color of the oil.

FLCH so far badly traded down share. It's in loss, but when considering overall factors it's undervalue.

Hope this will return a short term return (20-30%) within an year, and long term return (100%+) may be in 2-3 years, depending on sri lanka political and economical stability.
