Yes. Typical pump and dump share in Sri Lankan market. You dont have to find any examples other than HVA for pump and dump theory. Pumped form 6.80 to 7.50 around 5 million shares . Then take the price to near 10.00. Loads of promotions. Small investors start to buy. Dump the whole lot. Many millions rupees in a few weeks.

Yes they will push that near 12. Sometimes place sell at 12 and buy from another account. Then will sell at 10 to 11 range, all the the retailers will buy thinking it might go again. But people will be caught and will have to hold for long or sell at loss.

Be careful.

Stupidity as well as greediness have their portion and also I think there is another part coming in. That is laziness.

How many of the retail investors of our investor community study a stock on their own and assess the plusses and minuses before taking a decision. How many of them logically based their decisions. How many of them know at least the key businesses of the companies on which they buy the stocks. How many of them really knows how to do a basic financial screening before owning these risky assets. Max it would be 1% or 2%. The rest only interest in following the crowd and digging their own grave. I'm fed up of talking this now in this forum. Better to talk some thing else.

I think in this forum why not we have a small segmented areas for new comers to have a lesson based educational presentations on looking at companies,
at least to see
NAV , EPS , quick ratios , Profit & loss ect ect...
an area dedicated to educating the new comers....

No this is not an acquisition. Today there was more selling pressure. TKS bought at 8.50. They couldnt push because of selling pressure. If this an acquisition they could have easily bought the around 1 million shares on offer.

Safe exit will be a good move.
