Now reaching Rs 9 where the price is around 7.70. So there is an opportunity for a risk free return.

How can anybody say Risk free return from JKH W ?

Dying day is reaching and 2 months to go up or down.

Conversion price is 149.25 warrant is 7.60
Total cost per share is 156.85

Current share price 158.40

The difference is just 1.50.

Hence any investor buying warrants at this moment should not look for this 1.50 . He is betting to get over 100% return by selling warrants before they die . Appreciation of normal share price over 170 can give over 100% return to him.
The people who buy W to convert can stay in somewhat risk free area. (Assuming N will not go down after conversion)

If you buy W just to sell at a profit withing this 2 months and have no money to convert you are at risk.

I wanted to add some clarity to Chinwi's post above.

You should consider the brokerage amount as well in the normal share to calculate the difference between buying the two different security types.

If you buy W at 7.60 as an investment;
Cost of one W = 7.60 + Brokerage 1.12% = 7.68 ~ 7.70
Conversion price = 149.29
Hence cost per share after conversion = 157.00

If you buy N at 158.40 as an investment
Cost of one N = 158.4 + Brokerage 1.12% = 160.17 ~ 160.20

The difference is 3.20 which is as double as what you shown there.

The warrant is therefore valued at 9 to 10 which is what NZ boy and Troy trying to show

But I agree warrant is not really an investment option at this point.

Last year A total of 49,254,092 warrants were onverted to N out of 50,281,136 (98% converted) which means this year also there should be similar conversion.. Hence JKH will never fail their investors...

Last year just after the conversion JKH declared a dividend of 4.50, which again shows how they treat the shareholders....

JKH going to 170 is not a dream anymore and should happen within two-three weeks. which is well before the W end date... which can give hefty returns to W holders as well as N holders...

Please remember JKH is very powerful and will do what it takes to keep their fame...

Last week foreign inflow on JKH is 592 million rupees and price range was 154-158..

It is a known fact that foreigners pick the market, shares first than us locals... If they buy at 158 they would want to sell around 200 (with my assumption of 25% gain)... Why would they buy at this price if they can predict N will go down after warrant conversion...

They are well aware that JKH will rise.. This will definitely give very good returns to both N and W holders...

JKH-WARRANT 23 is going cease to trade 27 September 2016 not now more than one month is available, foreigners might be interested in converse the warrant when the cease to trade days approaches, That had happened to last year’s warrant 22, if the foreigners strongly belief the water front project and JKH, then JKHWARRANT 23 would be good for trading purposes until then.

If anyone checks the historical data of JKH WARRANT 22, it was never reached 0.10/-even at last day trade. It was traded above rupees 4.10.
If my memory reserved was right, only Greg and CLPL warrant reached 0.10 but no buyers were even that level. In the case of JKH WARRANT 22 because of the new Government impact that time the whole share market was in unstable condition even that time too JKH WARRANT 22 came down to 0.10

New comers and those with non experience are strongly advised to avoid this warrants (Don’t buy this JKH warrant 23)

Play this warrant game carefully....it's journey doesn't look good. So was it elder brother w22. It may have a slight push at the end of it's life. If you are not converting then be careful.
