Are we poised for a December chicken run ?

Consumption peaks with Christmas, end of year office parties, weddings, new year, tourism boost and get-togethers over the month. Best hotels are all full and records are being broken there... With the MRP of chicken increased a few weeks ago can we expect a record breaking quarter?

Comparing to festive season in April chicken sales in Christmas time are fairly lower as beef & pork are highly consumed.

Thanks, Any thoughts on where I can find the meat consumption figures for SL over 3 years based on animal origin for comparison here?

There are changing habits taking place as Chicken and fish are the common ground for a multi-religious country... Beef or Pork are avoided by the largest community or fastest growing one. Demographics are changing. Also the SL protein consumption is below ASEAN levels and with our current trajectory, it will be increasing. Fish is becoming very expensive, chicken consumption has the most potential for increase.
