HNB is on top of the list- they will inform market shortly. They saturated fractional reserves. The books are manipulated. Any other guesses that might help investors gain by atleast preventing further losses?

Shocking statement. The effect is not only confining to the HNB but to entire banking sector & next to entire market. Highly irresponsible act without proof.

I am not a supporter of the mal pohottuwa, but I am getting there. If you dont believe me then answer me this question, Why have the fatasses of their board decided to raise minimum deposits of savings to 3500?

My Answer : they are mostly dependent on treassury bill income as opposed to policies of other banks whos main income is by giving out loans to eligible entities earning higher interest rates.

And to top it all off, this has been done without even warning the depositors. Depositors who have a sudden fluctuation to 3499 even are charged Rs.25 until the balance gets really low and eventually they mercilessly close the account without warning the depositor. The customer sees stars when he/she goes to the atm to find out that their account is closed.

Now that is day light robbery

My friends say this is going on with couple of other banks too, including BOC-the bank which is having accounts of more than 60% of the population of the country.
