All most all the stock brokering firms publish weekly / monthly / quarterly research reports. But some of the reports are becoming shockingly bad. Especially some recent reports done by "TAPROBANE" were really below par. I went through their report on LGL and I was surprised to see the quality of the report. Most of us rely on these reports since we don't have the time to do research for our selves. I think It's time to identify the firms which continuously provide better reports. We need to be extra cautions with the others when making our buy /sell / hold decisions.

The securities firm owned by the CFA sri lanka president does good work with Research. but they don't publish periodic reports.

Only handful of securities firms have at least one CFA charter-holder. pale

That's a short report as I saw it.. Only few important aspects were covered on one page not all Wink

i used to read all the brokers report for information but i took my final decision

Capital Trust recommends to sell All Banking shares except NTB . They asks to sell SAMP as well. But I feel SAMP will become the No:1 bank in SL in few years.

100% agree with you. reports done by "TAPROBANE" were not even acceptable as research reports. They just doing multification by unrealistic indicatives (so called Sector PER .. etc). We can see better postings by our members here.

However, it appears that some researches pulished by AsiaWealth, NDB Stockbrokers, JKSB maintains its quality grate extent. (I'm not promoting/demoting any broker firm)
