It is meaningless for Rs.2/- dividend for a share priced around Rs 350/-. I wonder why this share is trading at such a low price. Reason may be due to credit clearance or bearish market condition or some other reason such as collecting at lower price.
But I personally feel that Rs.2/- dividend does not make any sense in terms of the share value.

For Rs 2/- dividend, the cheapest in the market was HPWR (around 36/-). You may give a try next time.

HOPL was one of my favorites. But dropped the whole lot since plantations were having short term issues.

Compare to Kotagala which is a share in 150-170 range, which gave a whopping Divident of Rs.10, (5 already given, and 5 more by June 30th), the Rs.2 given by BFL is peanuts Sad........

Maybe they need all the money for their new farm.., but its sad news for chicken lovers Sad...

Total Return = Dividend+Capital gain(=Mkt Price now-Mkt Price at purchase)
Mkt Price at Purchase

So, for someone purchase BFL in last year June cost must be around 80 (cant remember exactly and can't access to CDAX right now) so the capital gain as at today is around 265. So the total yield is 269/80*100=336.25%, but you all know the market price went pass Rs 500.

So why people are so worried about the dividend? Specially, when the growth plans had been communicated.
