I know investment advisors and brokers will invest by other accounts secreatly and provide fake advise . you will loose your money if u did not act inteligently. brokers create thease trends.
some veteran traders know this and they go with trend and exit on time stupidds will be trapped and loose there money.

Say broker by AEL 12 and advice to by AEL . initially veteran traders will come to market 13-14 -15 price levels after that stupids will come may be 20 price range (cant tell exactly since human mentality) first 2 will sell there share at 20 -25 and make 100% profits or above. latter will loose if they stay and if they sold can make like 20% 10% .

This is the truth of CSE . best strategy is buy unnoticed shares which have good potential and wait until trend started

When spreads between bid and offer are high there is an arbitrage opputunity.

Say, BFL best bid is 100/00 and best offer is 110/00.

The stock broker could easily buy for 110/00 via clients funds and then place an offer via known contact for say 101/00 and sell the clients shares for 101/00 making a profit of 9/00 before transaction costs.

He then could sell the shares at anywhere between the spread and if filled could profit out of it.

@ThilinaM, 100% agreed with you. Some of these guys made CSE as a gambling place. Thats the reason we lost big net worth investors participation to CSE. Due to lack of reputation.

But the thing is even brokers can mislead us dicition is with us. but when the company directors are stealing from minor investors like us we have no other option. they steal from us making massive salarys rent to there relatives. srilankan auditors are silent

Currently in CSE there is only one share that meets the following criteria.

i.e : Cash&Bank per share / Market price per share = 90%

This means that if you pay lkr10 per share basically you are buying a company that already has lkr9 in the Bank account. On top of this the company has a very low P/E of around 4 to 5. Basically you are buying the business for free.

Can any one guess this share?

This is true story about one of my friend.

He invested nearly Rs 500,000/- in 2010 when the market was performing well and the market is peak.

I analysis his detail, he did not get advise form advisers and share bought of his own analysis

He bought difference kind of shares 4,706,000 and worth Rs. 15,770,000/- million and

Sales Share 4,500,000/- and worth Rs.15,520,000/- million

paid Rs 350,000/- as brokerage for sales and purchases

paid nearly Rs.158,000/ as Interest for marginal accounts

Now ,he has nearly 250000 shares in small value it worth nearly Rs. 200,000/-, If he will sell it for 50% profit he can earn Rs.300,000/-

He lost interest for FD since 2010 ( for nearly 6 years)

I hope he may somehow lucky to trade this much of share and still in CSE. I think he have no luck and there is some issue about his decision of purchase and sales time in market.

Winner of his case are Brokers and the Marginal trading providers

Then, I hope it better to leave CSE after sale remaining Shares.

Very good example of what happened to most investors of the CSE during last 10 years.
Your friend has 2 options.
1. Sell at 50% profit and Exit.
2. Invest the 200,000 the same way he invested in 2010 and hope for better results.
BTW he is lucky to have survived the tide without losing the shirt. Most of them are running naked today.

I believe the below table would help with your investment decision and do your own due diligence before your decision. I am not an expert, but I refer at least F/Ss’ (both interim and audited F/S) before doing any transaction in CSE as said earlier one member do not trust the brokers.

Im not wondering , if CTBL pass above 4.50 even. Very strong technical creations against weighted averages and NAVPS/EPS. CTBL pattern is very Similar to KZOO. Remember KZoo was 2.90 and suddenly touch 4.20 levels and above with in a day. We can expect such a dramatic run from CTBL also
