Gloomy outlook  keep the investors on cautious stance.

We have two classes of forecasters: Those who don't know -- and those who don't know they don't know!
There are all sorts of negative things in share market that you simply can’t do anything to erase.
Bulls listen to fellow bulls, bears listen to fellow bears. It is a terrible way to learn something new, and often keeps you miles away from the truth.
Latest woes have left millions of small investors feeling more confused than ever. No one fully knows exactly what's happening all the time.
Investors are slowly coming to the realization that the crisis will not take days, weeks or months to unwind. God only knows what to do.

Good luck. Safe Trading

Ha ha traders seems to be frustrated. we investors are always happy since we get helthy yearly divident
Very Happy. my portfolio divident rate is 8.7% do u beleave.

Junior investor

Stock Trader
divident rate is 8.7% means you received 8.7% per annum for your total investment, isn't it? but you could have earned 9.33% interest if you had put that money in fixed deposit.

Yeah most of companies don't pay a good div. There are only few who pays around 10% of the share price.

So its better to trade.

@kavindu - Read carefully.

if u invest EPS 20 and price 100 company your return is 20% if that company pay divident 8% yes its below than a FD 9.33%. you have to companre 9.33% vs 20% not 9.33% vs 8%.

SL international inflation rate is like 6.5-7% according to my claculation (central bank says its 6%)

9.33-6 = 3.33 . 72/3.22 =22years to double real money.
20%-6% =14%= 72/14 = 5 years to double money
5 year double /10 year 4/ 15 year 8 /20 year 16 /25 year 32 /30 year 64

10 lac invested in 20% rate will be 640 lac in 30 year .
10 lac invested in 9.33 rate will be like 30 lac in 30 year.

And do they exist 20 EPS and Share price 100 companies?
Even when there are only few companies which isn't trading more than 10 times of annual EPS

your fav share SAMP also not having that much ratio

And i didn't tell FD is better than investing. However Share prices won't increase according to the EPS if there are no proper div
