All of you pay taxes and are Citizens of the Country.
Dont you think that pension is a must for all above 65 at least ? (Need not be after 55 like for Govt Employees) like in Australia where everyone gets it. Some who cannot live with their Children can claim it as a Elder care Service (You dont get money, but Care services provided free at such facilities).
People in the Private sector, Informal sector Self employed), Foreign employed etc provide a bigger service to the economy and they are not a burden on Govt. Thus they should be looked after by the Govt when old..Its not acceptable that only some are paid pensions..
Parliament MP's get it just after 5 year Service.. Clearly Private sector is totally discriminated in Sri Lanka.
There are over 5 Million people belong to this category.
IF PEOPLE GET TOGETHER BEFORE THE ELECTION WE CAN WIN DUE RIGHTS.
There is a petition created for the Purpose... Pls sign it and share amongst your friends, where ever possible..Target is to get 100000 Signatures soon, then submit it to Main Political parties to get their response in writing.That will be published there and ...you may vote accordingly..
