Hi Captain,

We can compare the two companies balance sheet by similar sizing each other.

However, the result is not comparable due to industry difference. In simple, we are not comparing apple to apple.

Thank you

More than 80 million shares were traded Tuesday/Wednesday majority was all over 9.00. I think 9 is a good support level for this. And I see it going to 10 very soon. The only reason the run was interrupted was due to a query on why the shares going up (obviously demand and supply and exceptionally good results on Q1 and anticipation of same in Q2) which was answered by the company and With next quarter results I am sure it has more potential to go further.
Well RED means opportunity to collect any good shares.
Happy trading.

Fully endorse Mithooshan post. Thank You.
Greatly appreciate your response to 2 questions.
1) Is Jkh on slow rise as collection on (especially getting Foreigners to sell quantities at cheap price). So many positives including a Casino license
2) We now know Nimal P during 2020 built up over 4mn holding in Cflb. Even today 900k done. Company in clear Turnaround including plantations cancer being cured. Your outlook.
Thanks.
Hi Kipling,

1. JKH is fundamentally strong share. The company will benefit gradually with economic revival due to following;
    # Cost improvements through re pricing the loan book at
       current low interest rates
    # Their room bookings in Maldives have almost realized
        pre-covid levels
     # Domestic room sales have achieved the break even
         level as per Gihan Cooray
Hence, there is not much of risk in this share cf. CFLB.

2. CFLB is weak cf. JKH and I only see a speculative push rather than fundamental backing. However, you can easily invest on much larger companies whom are fundamentally strong catering the global demand such as HAYC, DIPD, EXPO and TOKYO[catering local market]. These companies will outperform having a much larger growth potential globally cf. CFLB.

NOTE - TECHNICAL INDICATORS MAY NOT JUSTIFY BUYING AND BE HIGH LEVELS IN ABOVE AS INVESTORS ARE EXTREMELY BULLISH ABOUT THE OUTLOOK.

HOWEVER, PULLING BACK, CONSOLIDATION AND PICKING UP COULD BE THE NATURE IN SHORT RUN. IDEALLY IT IS GOOD TO HOLD ON A LONGER TERM FOR A SUBSTANTIAL GAIN FOR INVESTORS.

Good Luck

ESP of 0.89 cts against 0.08cts for the q1 had come from increase in Q1 revenue from 36.1BN against 22.8Bn last year.
If the same trend continues in EPS should be 2.50 to 3.00. So at PE of 4 to 5 share should trade between 12-15.
I still have 2000 shares bought at 14/= from IPO. Therefore, it is quite possible this share to pass IPO price this year.

I will invest at current price expecting min 20-30% RTN shortterm

We cant disregard this share , do your own analysis before investing.

Hi Gentleman, I'm new here and jumped in to see what you old hands have to say about EXPO.N as I agree with the above.

Was looking to invest and was thinking that the slight loss of momentum we saw would be a good buying opportunity.

I'm a bit more conservative though about EXPO but for sure think it should trade above 11/12 in the short term during COVID due to:

1. All the PPE and eqiupment shipments being air freighted out of SL. All the garment factories are scrambling to get PPE shipments out of the country and into their customers' hands

2. The government air freighting medical equipment and supplies via Mattala Airport while looking to make SL a major hub for ship crew changes (which is being facilitated out of Mattala Airport currently)

3. EU and North America are facing a 2nd wave of COVID so their need for PPE is higher than ever.

4. Even if there is a vaccine by Oct or Nov it will take at least 4-6 months for it to be administered thoughout the world and be effective. Not sure what SL's plans are in that regard but if China or India ends up sharing the vaccine with SL, even all those supplies will come via Mattala Airport.

5. In the long term EXPO.N will do well even after COVID19 as they are looking to double the size of their operations out of Mattala. We know how much effort the present Govt. is making to have that airport be profitable; so EXPO will end up being a key partner with the Govt. and have good opportunities for growth while developing the Mattala airport's commercial potential

Hi all,

To me, investors bullishness is the primary cause for high variance in price. Either a pull back or rise the investors are highly aggressive in decision making.

The most important insight is the heavy trading activity in terms of marker turnover. EXPO was in top 5 turnover contributor during the last 1-2 weeks.

Sell price is determined based on your own considerations.

All of the top notch shares have been in Rs 10/- or low [Penny category] bracket and now reached high levels if you look back the history.

The best Strategy is to Shut down the ATRAD and reopen in mid October having stocks which has the fundamental reasons catering the GLOBAL DEMAND compared to LOCAL DEMAND. You will see wonders.

Good Luck

Hi Mithooshan,

Yes. It depends mostly if some investor bought on CREDIT. That is why most of the members inquire. However, the following are few methods I can tell in general

1. Sell @ 5%, 10% or 20% gain from purchase price.
2. Sell @ real valuation based on NAV or EPS
3. Sell @ Technical indicators

However, what I recommend is to buy in Cash and sell @ REAL VALUATION. It is because, no point shedding your hard earn money as the BROKER COMMISSIONS in which you can gain a lot in the medium to long term as capital gains or dividends

It is very difficult to consider the existing earning charts to make a decision because it does not reflect current earning potential. (only June and that was hot hot) I expect a descent EPS for the quarter ending 30th September which will continue in times to come. (Growing demand for PPE abroad). So an Annual EPS of 2.50 at least. Hence, Current price is not bad.

However, there are day traders and swing traders who buy this share and they sell it at at the end of the day (Because the share is strong it gives them good trading opportunities). So if someone is buying now i would say entry point is crucial. They should capitalize when the opportunity comes. (Like i said before the announcement was one such opportunity)

Also huge volumes were purchased in the last few days from RS.9.70 to RS.10.10 as well. In Millions. So in my view the market sentiment is such that they are willing to pay for this share at current prices either because they know fundamentally this share has earning potential or they are going with the wind.

Considering that, at this is moment i would say this share is an investors paradise.
(Not a buy or sell recommendation. Please do your own research before you invest your money)

May be all time high will reach before month end, if market condition is good and

Bz collector and real investors could understand that there is a high posibility to expo.n to made same or incresed profit compared with june qtr. With prevailing business conditions

Actually we have to careful, bz manipulator also could be active, so I believe this is still good price us collect rather than wait untill go for all time high

Hi all,

The EXPO’s largest revenue contribution is coming from USA accounts for about 34.5% and India is the second largest revenue contributor having about 14.6%. Please follow the below link for details

https://m.marketscreener.com/quote/stock/EXPOLANKA-HOLDINGS-PLC-11318075/company/

Therefore, the EXPO is likely to get the similar or more than 1Q logistical demand for PPE due to high prevalence and increased trend of COVID19. Hence, 2Q earnings technically should be more than 1Q
