I think main reasons for present situation can be summarized as follows.
1. Non implementation of IMF proposals genuinely. govt try to protect. corrupt AND people impose taxes ONLY ON lower income groups ( CRONNY CAPITALISM) You can see big unrest among people. And political uncertainty
2.acoding to recent scientific surveys NPP is very popular among people and there is a strong possibility to form a government under their leadership Most of investors think NPP govt will not Invester friendly. A small investors' conditioning of mind. B. most of big investors are highly corrupt people. They do not like NPP government
BUT I CAN ASSURE NPP GOVERMENT ALSO WILL BE A INVESTER FREINDY GOVERMENT UNDER NPP POLICY .IT WILL NOT BE A COMMUNIST GOVT.NPP IS ASKKING POWER FOR ONLY FIVE YEARS
NPP GOVT WILL NOT BE ONE PARTY GOV AS IN CASE OF CHINA. AND OTHER SOCILIST COUNTRIES. EVEN CHANA HAS WELL ESTABLISHES STOK MAKET SYSTEM NPP BELIVE SOCIAL MARKET ECONOMIC SYSTEM ACORDINS LEADERS OF NPP INCLODING ANURA KUMARA.
IF ALL INVESTERS UNDERSTAND THIS MARKET WILL FUNTION WITHOUT FERE.AND MARKET WILL START BULLISH TREND AGAIN
