DirectFN order book:-
TWOD seller for Rs27/=
But when I called broker He said seller was for Rs26.90/= and I bought some.
Anyone has such experience or controversy?

I guess orders change with time. Now there are sellers for 26.7

No brother when directFN showed seller on 27 actually there was a seller for 26.90.
I think it may be delay in updating.
What I want to know is whether it is a problem with my internet connection or overall delay in the system?

Probably it was a delay.
Or else it could have been a hidden order as well.

ATS ( Automated Trading system) is used at CSE to match your orders and do the selling. So the order-book is actually in the ATS. It processes and does thousands of trades per second. These trades and information comes to CDAX, DFN and the web in batches, say each second or so....

This means we are actually seeing the trades as snapshots of the on going process. Some times if the time my snap was taken differed from the time you got your snap, we see different pictures.

Network delay also matters. Even if the exact same snap is sent to broker with a faster connection ( they Do have faster connections) and you with a slower connection, you would be lagging: so what you see may be really in the past.... I have personally experienced over 1 minute of old information on my ADSL.

Just to put things in perspective type "cnn.com" and count 1 ..2..3..4...5
See how long it takes for a simple web page to come over to your PC. Now think about ATS, doing thousands of trades per second...
