I did a study by obtaining views from few members in this forum and as per my requirements, JBS is the best and fits my requirements. The study took about 2 months.
Mainly I looked at their on line software, its features , error free status , stability etc features. Also the positive side on advisors.
The software includes features technical analysis information , MACD , RSI and also the fundamental details. You could select 3 different types of portfolios , the JB portfolio , Day trading Portfolio and portfolio of some other broker/s. which means you could setup the portfolio of shares from your other brokers and monitor them too. I think its great feature.
One page full of information is allocated for CSE, all important information from CSE is given in one page so its time saving. also no need to move to cse.lk slow site to check for announcements.
I understand that the software is developed in-house considering the the requirements of a Sri Lankan investor.
I was also told by one member of this forum that even the MD of the company is contactable for clarifications and he him self is a CFA.
The investment advisers at JB go through a training process of 1-2 years and after that thay study for CFA qualifications.
Another plus factor is that their recommendations are based on fundamentals.
The limit for on-line facility is Rs. 500,000/=.
You could pay them on-line thru Sampath bank or Comm Bank and sold note cheques they could directly transfer to your bank account. This is also a time saving feature.
I recently opened a CDS account with them and will be transferring my shares from old broker soon to this new account.
This set-up fits me for the type of investments I hope to do.
Hope this provides sufficient details to you.
