I do online trading using CDAX software and web based application from Ceylinco SB.
Due to the nature of my work I cant install CDAX on a PC and also the web application is a shit. therefore I want to move on to a better online system. I don't mind changing the broker either. Presently Ceylinco also not providing mobile facility as well.

Friends, those who have experience in online trading(web, pc app and mobile app), who can compare available systems, please advise me. Any other advise too welcome.

(i went through past posts but hardly found any comparison)

I am using DirectFn TWS through Asia. 99% of the time it's ok...some times it gets stuck when there is a big rush..anyway I am satisfied with the system. unfortunately I have not used CDAX to do a comparison.

Hi, Try DirectFN on http://capitaltrust.lk.
I have using this software for last 6 months and seems to me it is simple, reliable and also more advanced analyzing features are built-in.

* I'm new to stock trading Very Happy

so, expertise may point out other options on market.

Dear friend i'm using CDAX for last 3 years and Direct FN for more than one year.in my personal experience its better to keep both. once the CDAX stucks Direct FN works and vice versa.

In my case, by having a account provided by Ceylinco can I use some other tool (like DirectFn TWS) log on to my account. In case of the CDAX
broker code
username and
password
are needed to log on

Friend "Watch dog", do you use both CDAX and DirectFN for the same account.

Why you can't install CDAX on PC, is it because you use linux/unix OS or your company do not allow?
If you cant install it because of work ethic, you can't install any other SW.
Asia capital provide DirectFN for iPhone and their web interface also quit good.
In fact I do most of my trading through web interface.
It works great on android mobile(I use HTC Desire HD)

ya i am also using both not only that they have web trading too. no need to install just using web can trade..

@Dileepa I dont have a PC for me. I just use a common PC.

I cant log in other brokers systems with my credentials. I think i need to move on to another broker for a better online facility.

I am with ASIA & as my past experience DIRECT FN is best. Also using Apple I-PHONE for quick trading via DIRECT FN.

get a A/C from Asia sec then u can login to Direct FN, CDAX, Direct FN web interface, Direct FN mobile.

Only problem with DirectFN web interface is you can't see the full order book. Other than that its very user friendly and very modern.

Above comments by members give a fair comparison.

I have used both CDAX and DirectFN.
In my view,
CDAX is simple and primitive, but have the essentials required. Biggest advantage over DFN is it shows the whole order-book.

DFN has better appearances, modern features, better analysis tools etc.
For example: you can have conditional orders (stop loss orders) with DFN.

I switched from CDAX to DFN for mainly two reasons.

1. Better technical analysis tools
2. 24x7 availability.

Added advantage with DFN is it stores all historical data in the computer. So whenever you want to look at a chart it gathers data from the hard disk (not downloading from the server every time) hence a lot faster and efficient than CDAX.

What did you mean by full order book?
You can see the order book by simply clicking on the symbol in your watch list

You can see the order book by simply clicking on the symbol in your watch list

Seems that the new web interface DOES give the order book when you click on the symbol.
Earlier there was no such feature which kept me out of the web interface.
