Today CLND was not strong enough to blast off. I think it may decline to 55-60 in coming days. Lets give this chap some breathing space cos he is tired.

Guys, this is kind of manipulation by HNWI. Don't fall in to the trap. Currently CLND is massively overvalued.

Seems like it is Dr. Nalaka Godahewa the Chairman of the CLND.
He is the head of the SLIC and Sri Lanka Tourism Authority

I am totally crazy with CLND. Seems like something is comming

Quarterly financials are not satisfactory.... all speculative stocks go further down....…

All those, so-called rallies fail due to lack of corresponding financial reports…some exit from rallies after tricks…..those stocks were collected on credit…many look for straightforward stocks with good financial reports… Smile

Some stories behind of these following quotes, if anyone knows about, Last valuation on 2007

Picked from annual report page 29

"In July 2001 the Company received possession of a part of land in Pettah leased in 1981 to the Company by the
Urban Development Authority (UDA). The area of the land thus received by the Company amounts to 2A-3R-11P
and was formerly occupied by Colombo Gas Company. The Company currently runs a temporary car park on
this land the value of which had been included as part of cost of investment property at the time of receiving
possession. On 12 September 2007 the Company revalued this property and accounted for the fair value gain
at 31 December 2006 through retained earnings as per Sri Lanka Accounting Standard, SLA S 40 (Revised 2005),
Investment Property.

In addition to the investment property consisting of buildings constructed and the car park on part of the leased
land in Pettah as stated in (a) and (c) above, the Company also has legal possession of the balance land which
amounts to 9A - 2R - 2P over which the Company has no physical possession
. The fair value of such land has not
been accounted as land held for development under investment property due to the Company’s inability to have
physical possession of the land for development.

T he Company intends to recognise the fair value of any part of the land for which alternative land will be provided
for development by the Urban Development Authority, as investment property.

I guess Dilith with all political influence will try to get the physical possession, then there might be rise up in the assets value

All of sudden Dr Godahewa bought 350,000 shares of his company @ 65/- paying 23 million , the same stuff he did not buy for 11 million 3 weeks ago !

I think what Seyon said can be/ going to happen.

There should be a combined operation of political and HNWI to take this share to a very high level. Options are available for this with the hidden land. If they release the land using political power, CLND will become one of the biggest owners of lands in Colombo area and its asset value may go up by about 6-7 billion rupees at-least.

Roughly, NAVPS will go up from 16 Rupees (current book value) to 50-60 Rupees per share.

If they sell the land or part of the land ( 9 acres) there will be one time earning EPS 10- 40 Rs. Then they can invest that cash to generate 4-6 EPS thereafter or continue the game in similar fashion.

Anything of that sort is possible in Sri Lanka and I'm counting on your many years of experience Wink
