I dont watch the stock market on a daily basis, but I happened to spend a few hours today. Something I noticed is that our investors (or traders) seem to want to pay the highest price they can for a share. Anything that's going up, they chase, trying their best to pay the higher price and beat the next person. However when it comes to selling, they want to sell at the lowest. When there are buyers for as an eg. Rs. 100, they somehow want to sell for less than this. They try their best to outbeat the other and make the bigger loss. Is this how all stock markets work or is it only Sri Lankans.

Haha.. I cannot help but agree looking at the pattern of some players. But the key is to buy low and sell high. It seems harder than said.

Mainly Our mkt is taken up or down by some players ( specially in group) in these days, they changing the hand in between them, they know exactly the correct time to enter and exit. so if the fixed the price to which the particular stock should taken up, start to buy at high price to show the attractive trend, followers are the innocent investors will follow that trend.

If the decided to start exiting, there are the first sellers ,so pushing to buyers, even at lowest, Finlay as far as group concern, they get consolidated profit.

I think it's normal in any Market. Always the buyers try to bid above the others and sellers try to offer below others. It also depends on each and every situation. If I have bought 1Mn "X" shares at 10 and if it's now trading at 50, I wouldn't mind selling it even at 45 if there is sufficiency qty to exit. So if this happens suddenly ppl who purchased above 50 during the day will look like fools....also, ppl selling after it dropped to 45 also will look like fools...

Yes this seems to be correct for the stocks articificially pushed by the manipulators. When they start selling, it is really difficult to compete with them as they may be buying and selling using different accounts simultaneously operated by different people (possibly own by the same person).

Not all are buying at the top. ....Observed some collections taking place at the bottom in stocks like HNB, BRWN, RCL, SAMP, CARS, DIST, CINV, JKH, COMB etc. ...BRWN was the most active....lot of very happy collectors..

Investors, investment funds foreigners and probably EPF funds place orders and wait for desperate sellers.....some stocks.... not many sellers... Smile Smile

Yep! BRWN is showing strong support between 270 to 275. I also entered at 270. I cant see this going done much further.

They play in some selected counters now depending on the ppl involved. But in the past they selected counters to invest in much more proffetional manner and we also used to follow them. But if we follow them now we will have to suicide soon.
