I would appreciate if all participants could calculate their own portfolio value and post it in this thread so that we could determine the winner. Moderators will verify their calculation.

I did not participate on principal, but maybe I will in the future.

Market sucker:

You need to calculate loss on EAST on below.

EAST closing price on Sept 15th is Rs 35.7
Nov 30th price is 28.0

Date Open Hi Low Close Share traded
2011-09-15 39.6 39.6 35.7 36.0 485600

On HARI you were smart. ( to pick a share which dropped Rs 1300 only on 100 shares traded).

With no offence to Market Sucker (as you played within the current rules, except for EAST calculation)

but as a Note to Admin for the need for future guideline revisions for the competition
just take the HARI example itself as an issue

No shares were traded for a month before sept 15th. Only 100 shares were traded at Rs 1600 on august 19th. Even if one want to
they could not have bought Rs700K worth of shares.

This issue was discussed before. In future it is best to atleast note that we need to pick a share that traded within say mayeb a week before the closing date with quantity atleast matching the players ( this game) quantity requested.

Again MarketSucker do not take it personal as you played within the current rule.

Am just pointing out this loophole to admin.

Actually closing price of Sept 14th needs to be taken in account.

EAST closing price sept 14th was Rs 36.1. Don;t think it will make a massive differecence.

100 shares of HARI made the difference.
QB postponed the end date to 31st Nov. Otherwise we could have few more gainers. Smile
However under the current rules Market Sucker is the winner. cheers

Thanks UK Boy.
Just for a curiosity,that's all.
Congrats market sucker. Well done.

Moderators please go ahead and declare the winner. All those members who agreed to pay price money please go ahead and pay to the declared winner. Objective of the game was not achieved due to the illiquid nature of some stocks which allowed certain players to achieve better results losing spirit of the stock trading game. New game would be launched soon!!
