Sept 05, 2011 (LBT) - Sri Lanka’s state controlled telecom service provider Sri Lanka Telecom today said that they had withdrawn their interest in buying the Suntel ltd.

“Sri Lanka Telecom had conducted due diligence for a possible purchase; however SLT formally withdrew from this process on 24th August 2011 and has no offer evaluation by Suntel shareholders.”, the company said in a stock exchange filing.
