මාස තුනකට ආසන්න කාලයක් නියඟය පැවති උතුරු, උතුරුමැද, ඌව සහ නැගෙනහිරපළාත්වලට ගෙවී ගිය 24 පැය තුළ මද වැසි ඇති වූ බව කාලගුණ විද්‍යාදෙපාර්තමේන්තුව ප‍්‍රකාශ කළා. ඊට අමතරව දිවයිනේ බස්නාහිර, සබරගමුව හාමධ්‍යම පළාත්වලත්, ගාල්ල සහ මාතර දිස්ත‍්‍රික්කවලත් වැසි ඇතිවන බව කාලගුණවිද්‍යා දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව විසින් නිකුත් කළ නිවේදනයේ සඳහන්.
ගෙවී ගිය 24 පැයතුළ පසුගියදා වියළි කාලගුණ තත්ත්වයක් පැවති අනුරාධපුර දිස්ත‍්‍රික්කයේ,කලවෙඩිඋල්පත, ඇතාවැටුණුවැව, මහඉලූප්පල්ලම යන ප‍්‍රදේශයන්ට සහ පොළොන්නරුවදිස්ත‍්‍රික්කයේ බකමූණ සහ ඇලහැර ප‍්‍රදේශවලට මිලිමීටර් 10 ත් 20 ත් අතරවර්ෂාපතනයක් පතිත වී තිබේ. ඊට අමතරව, අම්පාර, පාසිකුඩා ප‍්‍රදේශයටමිලිමීටර් 12 යි දශම 3 ක වර්ෂාපතනයක් වාර්තා වී ඇති අතර,ති‍්‍රකුණාමලයෙහිනාවික කඳවුර ආසන්නව මිලිමීටර් 10 ක සුළු වර්ෂාපතනයක් වාර්තා විය. එමෙන්ම,හම්බන්තොට, මඩකලපුව සහ බදුල්ල යන නගරවලට ද සුළු වර්ෂාපතනයක් ලැබී ඇත.

It is good to see scatted showers through out the country which was limited to some areas of the country. It is a relief for dairy farmers as well. Cows will have more grass in the ground. This will help to increase rice production in the country. Fortunately this time there were good weather pattern in Tea areas. As a result of this Tea output was up during second quarter of this year.
