වානිජ බැංකුවල පොලී අනුපාතය දෙගුණයකින් පමණ  ඉහළ යන බව මූල්‍ය වෙළෙද පොළ ආරංචි මාර්ගවලින් වාර්තා වේ. හෙට දිනය තුලදී මේ තීරණය මහ බැංකුව ගනු ඇති බවද එම ආරංචි මාර්ග පවසයි.
ඒ අනුව මෙවන විට 6%ත් 7%ත් අතර තිබෙන සාමාන්‍ය බැංකු පොලී අනුපාතිකය දෙසැම්බර් මාසයවන විට 12% දක්වා ආසන්න ප්‍රමාණයකින්ද ලබන වසරේ මාර්තු මාසය වන විට 17 % දක්වා ද ක්‍රමයෙන් ඉහළ දැමීම සිදුවන බවත් වාර්තාවේ. මෙමඟින් වැඩි තැන්පතු මුදල් ප්‍රමාණයක් වානිජ බැංකුව වෙත ලබා ගත හැකිවනු ඇතැයි පැවැසේ.
එම තැන්පතු මුදල් මෙරට ආයෝජනය සඳහා යොදා ගැනීමට රජය අපේක්ෂාකරනු ඇති බවට මත පලවන මුත් පෞද්ගලික අංශයට ඇති ආයෝජන අවස්ථා ඇහිරීමත් මෙමඟින් සිදුවනු ඇති බවත් පැවැසේ.
වානිජ බැංකුවල තැන්පතු පොලී අනුපාතය වැඩි කළ විට ඉබේටම ණය පොලී අනුපාත වැඩි කළ යුතු වෙයි. මේ ආරංචිය මත මත අද දින ඇතැම් බැංකු ණය මුදල් ලබාදීම වාහන ලීසිං ලබාදීමද බැංකු හා සමාගම් විසින් තාවකාලිකව අත් හි‍ටුවා ඇති බවත් වාර්තාවේ.

කෙසේ නමුත් මේවන විට රජය මුහුණපා ඇති ආර්ථික අර්බූදයෙට විසඳීම වෙනුවෙන් ක්‍රියාත්මක වැඩපිළිවෙල යටතේ මේ සිදු කෙරෙන බවද පැවැසේ.පසුගියදා ඩොලරයට සාපෙක්ෂව රුපියලේ අගය විචලනය වීමට රජය ඉඩ දුන් අතර මේවන විට රුපියලෙහි අගය ස්ථාවර මට්ටමක පවතී.

this news is incorrect, even in month of September there was a deflation recorded according to the official figures publish. 
I also suspect there will be a rate hike but it will be only by 1%. If they do more than that there will be a huge economic crisis on the horizon. More than 1% rate hike will  bring down the APSI to 6500 for sure. retailers will exit the market and put money in FD's.

Govt and CB will want to keep the Credit growth at moderate level. Even during low interest regime we have seen some credit growth but it isn't significant. if they hike up interest rate by that much credit growth will come down drastically. CB and Govt wont let that happen cause its BAD PR for them.
