Guys,

Good news, it has been found that you can link DirectFN and Amibroker and you can get the live data free, tick by tick
so you can do all your charts / strategies on real time, you dont have to wait untill the market closes and manually update the EOD prices and do analysis (which we were doing all this time)
and more importantly its totaly FREE, you dont have to pay a single cent,
all you need to have is to get DirectFN from your broker and have it open and link it via DynData
i was exploring this idea after Metastock started the live data for 1620 USD per year, who wants to pay when its available free

Now this is the method,

Open Direct FN, Login,
Go to Watch List -> Colombo Stock Exchange -> Normal
Select all the stocks -> Right Click - > Edit -> Link to Excel with headers

Save the excel file,
Link it to Amibroker, there you go you have live data Tick by tick, keep the excel /DFN open all the time , it will refresh on its own,
today i tested it and it works

more over you can set alerts, alerts via email (alerts to mms so it will come to your phone)

Very Good find, now I am trying to do it,
By the way can you pls tell me how to export history eod data of all the stocks from Directfn to Csv file.
Is it possible to merge all the csv files in the history data folders of directfn in to a one file of amibroker format
.

Can BMS users use this .?Because BMS online trading is very slow although the internet connection is fast. Anything can be done?

Save the excel file,
Link it to Amibroker, there you go you have live data Tick by tick, keep the excel /DFN open all the time , it will refresh on its own

Thanks for the info.

DirectFN TWS displays real time stock prices and it auto-updates charts as well. (Correct me if I am wrong.) Therefore what is the advantage in linking it to Amibroker?
I must say That I am not familiar with Amibroker.

May I know know who your broker is ? Mine is acuity and they only have cdax.
