I expected a lot more from SMLL than this.. right issue was not a good thing at this stage but however looking at the earlier right issue, this is gonna be a success too.. The public share holding was around 2.8+% and this is easy manipulation if you ask me..
Ya.. this will be in high demand and it wont be a miracle if this runs again for ridiculas prices again like earlier ;-)

Now I think this can go up to 150 Twisted Evil Ohhh in vain I quit to buy back when it falls Shocked

After all that has happened , I think no self respecting company should attach warrants to their rights

We cant really say its absurd, but I agree they should not issue warrants.. on the other hand, as econ said, it increases the demand.. so this can easily be lifted up.. see the public listening is so low.. I dont remember any other company where public holding is below 3%.. so buyer has to go for sellers price if seller is not coming at a low price..

Now see how easily this could reach a higher price? I think this will get caught in a price ban Twisted Evil

now i just got the feeling about the seller in past days.....
surely PEOPLES LEASING............
WHY-because they want to collect money from investors by right issue,if they have more shares with them they couldn't collect much money from investors,so that may be the reason for dump some shares at last days...........
i may be wrong........

I also feel the same, this is complete disregard for the existing share holders and investors, collected funds as it was stated for investments, those rights were sold at around 69 plus 25 that is around 94 and few days ago millions of shares dumped at 75 without getting the consent of existing share holders. No respectable stake holder would attend the share holders meeting. Now, soon after that they come out with another rights issue.

Collecting from share holders what is in return. HNB gives large dividend. SAMP, COMB gives benefits to the share holders.

Very true. In other countries investors are reluctant to participate in rights issues. Companies that offer too many rights issues or warrants are avoided, but here in colombo, the preference seems to be for companies that give 72:2 rights.

Hi smallville

What I See is Seyon, this is gonna go haywire soon with the attraction for the price (for rights) and attatched warrents...
I did not expect for them to come out with rights issues without annocuncing a good plan of increasing their profits... The mother compnay holds a considerable amt of shares and its very easy for them to dump a little and get some money upfront before a rights isse (as u may have seen our members discussed this earlier as well ;-))
So in my books noting to gain from this as a true investment.. but for a short term trade I see some positive side.. If history itself repeasts we know where SMLL is heading Surprised Twisted Evil

So monitor the price levels on Monday and play safe...

Right o smallville. Once again the greater fool theory comes into play. I would like to hear some comments from the bag holders who bought SMLL at 300+ last year.

Exactly Tubal.. Now ppl who bought this at absurd prices have a chance of at least bringing down their debts by selling at a good price or applying rights while dumping their shares on ex date..

Now I didnt see the last past until RDS put it here.. as per the latest news the public holding has been increased to 11.49%.. this is something to do with the main holder dumping the shares on a pre arraged deal for an upfront cash deal Evil or Very Mad What our guys have talked here abt the 1M deal @ 75/- seems to have done it.. u could've entered ur name in the top 20 list if u managed to grab 5600 shares (as I remember) earlier...

If history repeats this can go pass at least 180 with the increase of public holding..., as u can see the right issue is very much attractive.. so history---- it repeats; isn't it? Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Twisted Evil

As per SEP Q FR
5. Public shareholding percentage as at 30th September 2010 was 2.81%. (31st March 2010 - 2.81%)

this month large deal was around 3%

Public holding 11.49% now

who has taken rest around 5.6% ( can we justify them in right issue???)

As per 11.49%, atleast 5.2M shares with public now.

there were large selling @ 90 levels & buying also there.
we will see real game on Monday.

SMLL is going down. Or is it consolidating? Cannot say yet.

Have the investors got smarter about the rights issues now. I noticed LITE, OSEA right issues had a negative impact. Maybe people are more aware of SMLL now after the last right issue which we all know what happend.

I wanted to buy some today but bot sure which way this will go right now.

True Tubal. Having 2 right issues within a short period seems to be more of a gimmick. Was it really needed is the question.

Initially I thought people will chase like mad but sellers started some in people got smarter I guess ( atleast for now)

In the recent past right issues had the negative impact Ex. MARA, CSEC (except WAPO. It's unpredictable;) ). Now SMLL also can follow the same. I feel, it's risky to touch this at this moment.
