Hi, could someone tell me how long it takes to open a new CDS account. I have one already which took about 3 working days to open but I have applied for a new account and it is now almost 6 working days. Has anyone else faced such a long time to open an account and are there any reasons at this time for such a delay.

if you submitted all the proper documents account will be opened within 5 working days

It varies a lot. sometimes 2 days.. sometimes 7-8 days...

These days brokers and CSE is loaded with applications for new accounts. So you may need to give them few extra days!!

It seems like a big queue awaits due to increase in applications.. I heard brokers saying applications submit in in early Feb has not been created yet even..

Yes It is due to IPOs on Queue.We cannot apply for a IPO without a CDS account and with every IPO many new accounts are opened.

Time depends, even for my registration it took about a week.

i already have an account but i applied for another account in one of the most famous brokering company 3 weeks ago because my friend is working there everyday he checks it but still they haven't been able to open my account.........
