Now our forum is full of technical analysers. Most of them seems to be really confidence because of one or two of their predictions have become true. But please remeber in most of the time there is 50% of chance that u might be correct whether u do TA or not.
TA is a vast area like ocean. There are lot factors to concern. Each indicator may not suitable for each market and to make it more difficult to each situation. So u have to be very careful!! If TA is so easier and so correct there should be more and more billionaires. But it is not happening like that.
TA is a useful tool if u handle it correctly and wisely. For that u need,
1.Sound knowledge on TA
2.Very very good experience
3.Very good ability to identify patterns which is a very tricky bussiness
4.Very good common sense.
But if u trap in this TA bussiness.....U situation will be too ghastly to discuss.

Absolutely right!
Depending only on TA is like trying to hop (with one leg). Combined with fundamental analysis (the other leg), you will be more balanced and will make better progress.

anyone with small knowledge can easily identify a pattern, can find support and resistance, find strong MA points, but there are millions of other things to learn, there are only two people i consider as TA's in forums, Small and Sachith

At last a forum moderator has understood the danger of TA. In sri lanka most guys use TA to manipulate the market.

Well... our own gann (ex. mod) was the grandfather of TA for us Wink Its a pity that we dont see his updates now adays..
I have to agree with rijay for greater extent.. Whether u do TA or not, u need to have common sense (i.e. to have proper stop losses, etc.. )

For trading (swing or day) there's no need of Fundamental as u buy with the trend and sell on a smell of reversal.. Its like Pump n Dump..

For investments, its a must u look at the company financials at least for past 2 years.. Most of us would prefer a company with QoQ & YoY growth but there are factors that companies cannot perform well QoQ sometimes but as long as YoY growth is intact, that's ok with me..

Also some companies are stagnated with their business, but still favorites as the cloud of business they have given them enough profits to sustain. i.e. we're not hearing any development of JKH, are we? To me JKH is a bit stagnated share, well I might be wrong and others may have greater hopes with this Wink

If the infrastructure and construction sectors can go boom, there are sideline beneficiaries as well..

So TA is important for you to find out the time to get in to your investments but fundamentals really tell you whether the company can have a future.. then again u have to see whether the business can have favorable economy in future too cuz ur investing on a unforeseeable future..

As you can see, u have whole lot of things to decide on when you go for proper investments.. Its more or like same as u buy the whole company Wink

Speaking of TA's. well we have stockmate who was a great analytic too..

Can you give some sources to prove your point there are lots of technical analyzers in here. What is the source? I can hardly remember seeing a technical analysis post. Just going through the last few days posts I only see a single post with a one sentence remark.
