Lfin for quarter
EPS of 6.32
NAV 50.78

If you see the EPS you will see LFIN is attractive. But main shareholders use money to expand own business using LFIN,RCL, HAYL.
Careful with this share. Even it recorded high EPS minor shareholders will not be eligible to get dividends. Less buying pressure.

For nine months
Interest income rose 41%
PAT increase 81%
EPS 16.43
NAVPS 50.78
ROE 49.5%
only 5million shares held by others apart from 20 major share holders,

on TA,
on 24th jan price line touched the lower bollinger band triggering a buy signal,
RSI stand at 37.7 just coming back from over sold territory
money flow index is positive,
MACD still not showing buy signal and the volume is not great,

BUT my personal view is LFIN has a good potential to go up in near future,
your comments guys!!!

Excellent results. Still growing at a rapid rate.

Hopefully this will result in a good time for the LFIN shareholders.

Only change in the top 20 holders list is that WDNH P has increased his stake by 70100 shares.

They have declared dividends consistently.

2009 - Rs.3/-
2010 - Rs.5/-
2011 - Rs.3/50 this after doubling the no of shares by capitalization of reserves
2012 - Probably they will give something more than Rs.5/-.

LFIN is a good dividend payout company.

Don't forget that LFIN just bought over Mr. Dhammika Perera's property next to Liberty Plaza for Rs. 700m. This used to be his casino Bally's which he has now moved near Lakehouse printers.

I don't know if this is a good price or not, but i'm always suspicious about these things. Anyways, no denying that the company's books are very attractive, just hope that it isn't too good to be true. One strong indication would be a good dividend payout. Better than3.50 would be very positive.

I think this is a good share to hold for long term with good dividends and company is stable with DP having many other business.

They have 1 more quarter for the financial year. As there is only around 69+ million shares there will be earnings enough for a possible dividend.

But I also agree that this 700+ million investment at this stage was uncalled for. But at least it is a property at a prime location. It is not a complete waste in the future.

Wouldn't matter if the company is profitable if the company profits disappear down the owner's stomach.

Yes. I'm sure they will give a decent dividend this year, but the question is whether the company is truly acting in the interests of all its shareholders or just the big few.

Mr. Dhammika Perera has made a lot of money through the public. He used VONE to buy his stakes at hefty capital gains (VONE bought Mr. Perera's stake of SAMP at Rs. 300 !! Now it is Rs. 190).

Similarly, I'm not an expert on land valuation in central Colombo, but I know that the new LFIN hq used to be Mr. Perera's casino that has now moved. It looks like Mr. Perera is cashing in yet again...
