We have enough problems already, and skills of experts and their time is very much valuable and appreciated - in such a situation, duplicating ( and wasting) time in writing the same stuff already written in English is am utter waste.
Clearly understand that i have nothing against Sinhala. I am also a Sinhalese. But since having multiple languages makes things more complicated. If currently all articles were in Sinhala, i would have said adding English translations is a waste of time. Now as all are in English, translating it to Sinhala is just as much a waste.

For someone who has the thirst to learn TA stuff, mastering some basic English just enough to read a tutorial cant be that much hard. Also start with English and the WHOLE world of articles are available.

Today in srilanka, we do everything in triplicates ( Sinhala, English and tamil)- what a colossal waste this is. See what complications it created in the North.

English is the international language. Learn it - it cant be that tough, and it will give you wings of freedom.

Exactly... I'm with you thighrokker!

Even I can't think of Sinhala words for some technical words!
For an example:
Do you guyz know the Sinhala word for OR (Operational Research) ?
It's "Sankarya Paryeshana"
Using sinhala word is way too hard! Razz

The world is changing fast! We have to prepare for the future rather than going backwards!

Learn English & then Learn Trading/Investing...
To be honest... My curiosity to learn Markets made my English better Very Happy

+
No hard feelings with Swan, Dil7 n your enthusiasm to learn! Very Happy
Wish you all the best!

Normally machan what most do is they dont translate the word to Sinhalese, they just write the same word in Sinhalese

eg - Fibonacci - ෆිබොනාකි
in sentence
එම් ඒ සීඩී ලයින් එක සිග්නල් ලයින් එක ක්‍රොස් කරගෙන උඩ ඉදල යටට ගියොත් විකුනන්න

anyway i also agree with thighrokker Very Happy

Very good idea.

This is a very good idea.It is our mother tongue. So that we can understand it easily. But translation has to be realy good.Otherwise it will be a mess.

We think using a language.Language which we have used since childhood is the easiest language for us to think.Ususaly it is mother tongue. So if we want to make new thinking, newest ideas we have to think in our mother tongue. So the feeding mother tongue is realy important.Translation is one of the best way to feed mother tongue.

Worlds' great scientists, great writers have used their mother tongue for their discovaries and other woks.It is not just the english. If we can produce a worthy ideas that is the thing which matters most. Then others will translate it in to so called international language.

Now please do not say that I am against english. It is realy important to learn english but never forget the value of ur mother tongue.

I will try my best as time permits with my Profession. But as I have mentioned earlier translation has to be accurate. For that good sinhala knowlegde is required which I lack. So if u, as one of the adminstrators, can kindly guide me to such a person it will be a real help. Wink

Rijay, dont pass the ball.. We all work... There's no good sinhala required for this. As stumpy pointed out it will be hilarious if you translate the English to Sinhala for investment purposes.
Only thing required is that u know TA and u can write it in sinhala.. I.e, u may need to tell in Sinhala what moving average, RSI mean and u can discuss using the English term.. U cannot introduce sinhala terms for MA, RSI, SAR and talk abt it ne??

But if ur stuck with ur work, I can understand. Very Happy

If u translate it u have to do it properly.Otherwise it will be a utter waste of time.U think this as an easy job.But I do not think so.

Please try to get the point what I have told in my original post.I am talking of importancy of mother tongue in creating new ideas and feeding of mother tongue. For that u have to find out the new words.I do not want to drag this discussion. So I stop here.

A very valuable addition from a mod I say

As once u have told moderation here is a social work. Wink So I will fulfill ur request as a social work when time permits Wink

PS:-It would have been nice if u just said that u can not fulfill my request -guiding me to a knowledgeable person in sinhala - due to bla...bla...bla....reason rather than talking about ball passing. scratch
