What could be the reason/s for today's drastic fall? losing over 135 points during the day. Later part of last week, market showed some stability even with the new regulations coming into effect.

Many were optimistic for the market to stabilize further. Can a market suddenly fall in this manner without any particular reason, as the market has been correcting itself for over 1 year while passing through very good resistance levels?

I doubt whether this is manipulation by some invincible hand/s? Is it heading into disaster?
Anybody who can shed some light on the current environment.

the global economic climate is not condusive...people doing a wait and see approach.though valuations are attractive people who got burnt and worried and not taking any chancess,some due to margin pressure tend to sell off due to FEAR. they are over weight on some EMs (Emerging Markets) such as vietnam,taiwan while under weight on India/Australia big countries. So we will know once the dust settles down on greek elections. but bearish sentiments will continue on EUROZONE due to unstableness. But the rally will start in few months...so just buy good shares..i mean fundamentally stronger ones... pirat
