COCO is Coco Lanka PLC. Owners of Renuka Coconut powder company, RAL.

There are many brands of Coconut water cans imported to middle eastern and western countries mainly from Thailand and Philippines. It is an established business there.
They add sugar to get more taste. Also some pieces of Kurumba.

Also, raw Kurumba gedi are imported from India and available in places like Dubai.

I think COCO may export the cans to Europe area. Somehow it is not a rare business.

Dear members, it seems that the rumors are true

RAL is going to start the exports of coconut water energy drink to Jamaica on this month. That value will add to coco as well. i did little bit of research and i found that.
Earlier( 2011 feb) coco was purchasing a coconut from the auction for somewhere around Rs. 60. now they are buying a coconut for Rs.37. still they haven't change the export prices, that means the profit has increased.

Also recent reports indicate that coconut harvest has increased by 30% in sri lanka, which tend to decrease the price further.

Buki's main business is palm oil, as we can see the loss of profit shows the trend to farm oil is decreasing and increasing the demand of coconut oil. there for coco has a bright future.

Agreed.
The cost of raw materials is going down considerably. Once wasted coconut water also may make income.

Same for Haycarb.
Last year scarcity of coco shells affected their profits. If all other factors kept well HAYC may also reach new grounds.

I have seen raw coconut imported from India and Sri Lanka and available in hypermarkets in Kuwait. However, consumers prefer to buy and used to pay higher price for Sri Lankan coconut due to it's quality.

Recently I have seen coconut milk powder packed in jumbo packet (2kgs) from Renuka Agri Foods. Earlier only Maggi from Netsle was marketing milk powder in jumbo pack.

We may purchase cheap coconut powder imported from Thailand and Malaysia. However, Sri Lankan coconut milk powder are good in terms of quality though we pay higher price.

I saw on a short visit to Dubai that Renuka as still not penetrated the market there. GOod to hear they are in other Middle easten countries. Look like Thailand still leads the coconut milk market. But some of their products use a Gum to thicken the coconut cream. Does anyone know whether Renuka products use anythign artificial? Organic markets are becoming bigger now in western countries specially

Maggi is fast moving in Kuwait. I have tried Renuka product, which is also good as Maggi. I believe Renuka may capture the market little by little in time to come.
