Jul 13, 2012 (LBT) - The bourse witnessed mixed sentiments during the days trading, closing in red after some agressive trading on retail favourite shares during the early hours of trading.The weeks activity however, resembled lethargy recording low volumes and a low turnover overall. The benchmark index shed 4.54 points to close at 4,867 whilst the more liquid MPI shed 1.44 points to close at 4,311. Total turnover for the day was over 299mn. (Approximately USD 2.2 million) Total volume traded was 18.4K.

Banking & Finance sector heavyweight CFIN was the main contributor towards the day’s turnover as it witnessed a block trade worth 77.6mn. The counter witnessed a chunk of 575,000 shares changed hands at Rs.135. The counter them attracted high net worth and retail interest to close the day at Rs.127.50 gaining 0.30 cents for the day. Market heavyweight JKH witnessed selling pressure during the day to close at Rs.179.70 contributing over 27mn towards the day’s tally.

Index heavy CARS witnessed its usual accumulation which was witnessed during the past few weeks and traded a healthy volume of 31,000 shares. The counter closed the day almost flat at Rs.463. Conglomerate SPEN also saw accumulation during the day as it traded over 100,000 shares for the day. The counter closed at Rs.114.80 shedding 0.60 cents for the day. Further, high net worth and institutional interest was seen on caps LLUB,RICH and HSIG during the day.

Retail activity showed some momentum during the day as attractive volumes traded on certain retail favourite counters. LGL voting and nonvoting extended its rally from yesterday and went on to close on a positive note for the second consecutive day.HVA foods also traded aggressively and witnessed mixed sentiments during the day. The counter traded over 1.1mn shares and closed at Rs.11.60 after reaching an intraday high of Rs.12.30. Further, retail volumes were topped by FLCH,SFIN.R and BLUE.X whilst SEMB.X emerged as the top gainer on thin trade.

hey what are you asking. (4.09*135)= 400m+,greater than today's turnover.which is 300m,I thnk you got these data from CSE site which usually has lot of errors.there was only one crossing of CFIN at 135(575k)
