I also remember vaguely when the opposition came to power for a brief time there was also a bull run because 'the optimistic view after the change' and people had this idea opposition was better for the stock market. I'm sure almost all local investors would have wanted to stop the war , get the opposition to power, and would have blamed the president for not negotiating with the terrorists. Yes they were, They would get rid of the law and order and let the criminals and market manipulators run amok if only they could make some money in the side lines. That's the truth.
Now people with experience, besides those anticipations, in the other times how was the stock market? People talk about the text book cycles, bottoms and all. They see this is the bottom now it should go up. Wasn't it the just flat, slow market all those years? But what would be the reason, optimism after the end of another war? opposition coming to power? or most of all companies growing double in business? Getting rid of law and order and letting criminals run the market? What would be the REASON for a bull run?
